Writing/ELA Fairy Tale Adaptation Over the past two weeks you have been learning a lot about fairy tale adaptations. Last week you came up with your own idea for an adaptation for The Three Little Pigs. This week, you will get the chance to write your story. Make sure to use the graphic organizer you filled in last week to help you as you write your story! The PowerPoint for each day is different, please look at the new one each day. Social Studies: Colonial America Over the next 3 weeks you will be learning about Colonial America and creating a PowerPoint in Office 365 to show your teachers what you have learned. Each week you will use Social Studies Weekly for your 20 minutes of reading each day. This week you can look at any information in Social Studies Weekly weeks 12, 13, 17, or 18. You will use this graphic organizer each week to take notes while you read through your Social Studies Weekly. You can use other resources from the Cobb Digital Library to gather information as well. To get you started, I want you to watch this BrainPop Jr on the 13 colonies and this Brainpop on colony regions. Monday Look at the Graphic organizer and watch the 2 Brainpops below Jamestown 1 Brainpop Jamestown 2 Brainpop Tuesday Read through the Southern Colonies Power Point below and write down some information in your graphic organizer
Wednesday and Thursday Create a PowerPoint, use this one, and add your information. This week you are only going to do slides 2-6 on Jamestown and the Southern Colonies. (You will complete the rest of the PowerPoint over the next 2 weeks). Once you have added the information to slides 2-6 to your PowerPoint, share it with your teacher. Optional:Feel free to change the PowerPoint design, add pictures, or change the font. Get creative if you want! You can also add in slides if you want to add more information or cool facts!
