Music with Mrs. Dobbins PE with Coach Gaddy Art with Mrs. Fulton Counseling with Mrs. Bernier Counseling with Mrs. Plomaritis A message from our counselors: From Ms. Bernier, School Counselor for Third Grade students: Since my last post and prior to our unexpected break due to the Coronavirus, we covered many topics in the classrooms lessons I conducted that include Personal Safety; Listening Skills; Generosity; Positive Attitude; Growth Mindset; Kindness; Mistakes and Friendship. Of course, we all prefer to continue having classroom counseling lessons in person. Since we can’t due to the quarantines, we will send social emotional lessons through the 3rd Grade blog. Many will be PowerPoints that will have videos embedded. In order to view the videos, you will need to enable content.
Cobb and Douglas Public Health - Director of Epidemiology, Rachel Franklin sent the information below:
Please help remind students that while schools are closed, they need to be social distancing (that includes play dates…) and with the amount of cases we have in the area, everyone should be self-monitoring for symptoms. Please share this link with your class: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/ and https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/index.html. STEM Dear 3rd grade parents, I hope everyone had a good first day of distance learning. Be sure to check out my website for a variety of STEM activities your family can complete at home. I would love to see any STEM projects or activities you are working on. To that end, below I have attached a QR code for Seesaw. If you have not used Seesaw, this website acts like a social media site for a classroom. While here students can upload draws of plans, photos of builds, and videos of their projects in action. Additionally, students can comment on others’ work and leave likes when they find something interesting. To ensure student safety please do not post this QR code on the internet. Can’t wait to see your work, Michael Hanft

The third-grade team will be working together remotely to make sure the students get all the instruction they need while we are completing digital learning days. We have a lot to choose from! Luckily these students are very good with technology. Learning materials and lessons will be available on the 3rd grade blog. All 3rd grade teachers will be available for email communication M-F from 9:00 – 10:30 am. Please continue to monitor the blog daily for any updates. We plan to utilize online resources the children are already familiar with. In addition, we are sending home a gold sheet that will help you access online resources with your child. Please pace yourself. Each blog post has materials for a week. Explain to your children it is like a must-do option. They may choose what to complete each day, however all assignments should be completed by the end of the week. Thank you so much for all of your continued support. Sincerely, The 3rd Grade Team Please see the files below on how to access resources at home.
