This year Davis Elementary will be partnering again with Must Ministries to help meet the needs of students & their families right here in the East Cobb Area. We are among several of our neighboring schools who are collecting items to fill the Pantry at Lassiter High School. Must Ministries establishes food pantries within local schools for an easier access to families in need of assistance. Items collected at Davis will go to the pantry at Lassiter High School due to a need in our community. This campaign will teach students the importance of helping others in need and the value of working together. Students will learn that no matter how large or small their contribution is to the campaign, when we work together and each does his/her part; we can make a BIG difference. We want each child to walk away from the campaign feeling like they have made a difference in the life of another child. We are asking each child to assist his/her homeroom in collecting 100 food or toiletry items. This is the time of year we set aside to help our neighbors in need by helping to fill their pantries. Items most desired are listed below. Please help us meet our goal of collecting 2700 items by November 22nd. We have exceeded this goal for the last 7 years. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. To add some fun to the drive, the class in each grade who brings in the most items will receive a special prize. We’ve listed below some examples of items needed.
