MATH Math this week will be available through Freckle (the pig app). Please access Freckle via Clever. Teachers will assign the following activities, and students can access them by going into their backpacks. All assignments will be assigned at the beginning of the week. Students may chose which they would like to do each day. Monday - Go to Freckle and complete Multiplication and Division Facts Tuesday - Go to Freckle and complete Addition and Subtraction within 1,000 Wednesday - Go to Freckle and complete Equivalent Fractions Thursday - Got to Freckle and complete Multi-step Word Problems Reading/ELA Teachers will assign individual assignments for students to complete in Clever. Please note, not all students will receive the same assignments. Please work on the individual assignments that are in your child's Freckle backpack. Monday Spend 15 minutes completing the activities assigned by your teacher in Clever. Finished with all your ELA Clever assignments? Read for 15 minutes in the libraries in Clever. Social Studies Try playing the fun game below one day this week! Hit the Road is like Oregon Trail for the 21st century. During the game, which is available from the National Credit Union Administration, you make a cross-country trek with their friends. You have to figure out how to spend and make money during the trip so that you can make it to the West Coast unscathed. Time Capsule Monday-Wednesday Work on the time capsule assignment. Thursday Use Flipgrid to present the different things you put in your time capsule! Math- 2 Step Word Problem of the day: Complete the word problem. Use the Videos below to help you with your addition and subtraction. Send your teacher the answer in a email, picture message, through Office 365, in Seesaw, or Dojo. First in Math - Login and go to Just the Facts. Use Clever to login to First in Math. Social Studies: Colonial America You will finish learning about Colonial America and your PowerPoint in Office 365 this week. This week, you will use Social Studies Weekly week 16 to read about the Middle Colonies. Continue to use your Graphic organizer from last week to take notes. You can use other resources from the Cobb Digital Library to gather information as well. Monday - Read through the Middle Colonies Power Point and write down some information in your graphic organizer - Read for 20 minutes using Social Studies Weekly week 16 Tuesday - Read for 20 minutes on Social Studies Weekly Week 16. Take notes on your graphic organizer. Wednesday and Thursday - Continue working on your PowerPoint from last week. Complete remaining slides on the Middle Colonies. Once your PowerPoint is completed, share it with your teacher. Optional: Feel free to change the PowerPoint design, add pictures, or change the font. Get creative if you want! You can also add in slides if you want to add more information or cool facts! OPTIONAL Social Studies Extension: Search for some information on the Cobb Digital Library about the Southern Colonies. I have a provided a list of resources below as suggestions. You are more than welcome to look on your own too! A reading Assignment called Pollution will be assigned. Read and answer the questions. Wednesday and Thursday - Login to Freckle (the Pig App) and click ELA Library. Chose one passage to read and answer the questions. Economics Complete IXLs to 80% to receive full credit! Thursday - Come up with a STEM idea to keep an ice cube from melting Optional: Create your STEM project you planned out. What happened? Send pictures to your teacher.
